The BEST BBQ Chicken Kabobs!
These BBQ Chicken Kabobs are so simple and easy to make! All you need are a few ingredients and a little bit of time and you’ll be enjoying this BBQ dinner in no time at all!
Tender juicy pieces of chicken with a delicious homemade rub and then they are brushed with BBQ sauce. These are one of my favorite Kabob recipes, plus no marinating so if you forget to prep them ahead of time it’s no problem. Sometimes I forget to marinade meat and then I’m left wondering what to do for dinner.
We love these Chicken Kabobs during the summer because they are so quick and easy. Plus, isn’t always more fun to eat food off a stick? I think so!
Like I said before SO EASY! You can even cut up the chicken and mix up the rub before hand to save yourself time if you are busy! Just remember to soak those skewers if you are using wooden ones. We don’t want any fires!

How to make BBQ Chicken Kabobs
Before doing anything, start by soaking the skewers in water.
Then, take your rub ingredients and mix them together. Cut the chicken into 1-inch cubes, toss in olive oil and then toss in your rub.
Once covered, place your chicken cubes on the skewers and get ready to place them on the grill.
Preheat your grill to 350 degrees and place the kabobs on the grill. Rotate them every few moments but try and cook each side for 10 minutes. One the internal temp is 165 degrees, you’ll know your chicken is cooked and done.
Brush the chicken with BBQ sauce, let it cook for one minute, then rotate and do the same to the other side.
FAQS on Chicken Kabobs!
Overall Chicken Kabobs are pretty easy to make which makes them a great option in the summer for a quick meal when you are grilling.
Here are some quick tips and tricks to get the perfect kabob off your grill.
If you have any additional questions make sure to comment below and we will do our best to answer your questions!
What if I want vegetables on my kabobs?
If you want vegetables, add vegetables! It’s seriously as simple as that. Some great vegetable options to add could be green, red or yellow peppers, onion or even tomatoes if you’d like. Vegetables cooked on the grill are so delicious so the more the merrier if you ask me. You will need more skewers if you add vegetables just because they will take up some room on the skewer!
Can I add bacon?
Adding bacon is absolutely an option! (Isn’t it always?) If you’re wanting to add bacon to your kabobs, all you need to do is cut the bacon into thirds and wrap it around a piece of chicken and then thread on. You’ll get that crispy bacon crunch and that moist chicken flavor with every single bite.
Can you really go wrong with bacon?
Is the rub spicy?
The rub per the directions below isn’t spicy, but if you’re wanting to make it spicy, you absolutely can. All you need to do is add a bit more chili into the mix and it will give it a nice kick for sure.
Do I have to soak my skewers?
If you’re using wooden skewers, you’ll want to soak them for about 30 minutes before putting them on the grill. This way they won’t burn or catch on fire.
What can I do with leftover Chicken Kabobs?
I always hope there are leftovers, but usually there aren’t! You can just warm them up and eat them plain, but my favorite is to enjoy them on a salad for lunch the next day. They are also fabulous in a quick wrap!
