Juicy, delicious grilled peaches are an easy dessert to make on the grill. Simply brush them with oil, grill until they are tender and top with cinnamon, honey and a scoop of ice cream. The perfect summer dessert!
This is one of my favorite summer dessert recipes because it only requires a few ingredients and is ready to serve in no time at all. Warm grilled fresh peaches with creamy cold ice cream is such a great combination! The best part is you can be enjoying them in about 20 minutes.
The combination of honey and cinnamon has my mouth watering. This grilled peaches recipe is such a simple and easy dessert that screams summer flavors.
Ingredients Needed for Grilled Peaches
- Peaches sliced in half
- Oil
- Ground cinnamon
- Honey
- Vanilla ice cream
How to Pick the Perfect Peach
When you’re picking out peaches for this recipe, follow these tips so you get the best ones!
- You want to find one that is firm, but also ripe and smells like a peach. This means the peach will be sturdy enough to grill and won’t fall apart.
- To tell if your peach is ripe give it a gentle squeeze. You want it to have a little bit of give.
- The next thing you look for is the color. It should be a deep golden yellow, not pale.
- The last thing to look for is the texture. A ripe peach will have shriveled skin around the stem.
Once you have your fresh peaches and other ingredients, it’s time to make this amazing summer dessert.
How to Grill Peaches
- Prep Grill – Preheat the grill to medium-high heat or a grill pan in the oven.
- Prep Peaches – Brush the inside of the cut peaches with oil

Variations of this Grilled Peaches Recipe!
What I love about this recipe is that you can change it up depending on what you like! So here are some other ways to serve grilled peaches:
- Sprinkle chopped and toasted pecans or walnuts on top.
- A sprinkle of granola for crunch.
- Grate a little fresh ginger over the top.
- Use whipped cream instead of ice cream on top.
- Vanilla Yogurt or Greek yogurt on top is great too.
- A dash of nutmeg compliments the cinnamon nicely.
- Top the warm grilled peaches with a pat of butter.
- Instead of honey, drizzle caramel sauce or chocolate on top.
- Top a salad with grilled peaches.
Can you grill other types of stone fruit?
Yes, this method works with other stone fruit, too! Try grilling fresh nectarines, plums, or apricots. If the fruit is small, I recommend slicing it in half and threading the pieces on the skewers to make it easier to grill them.
Grilled Peach Salad!
Skip the ice cream and turn these grilled peaches into a salad. Simply grill the peaches as stated in recipe then cool and chop. Toss them into a salad with fresh spinach or arugula, crispy pancetta or bacon and a sprinkling of crumbled feta.
Top with an vinaigrette dressing and you have the perfect summer salad that’s bursting with flavor, light and healthy!
Expert Tips
- How to Cut a Peach – Run a knife the natural seam from end to end. Then twist the peach to open. Remove the pit from the half that holds it by scooping it out with a spoon or using your fingers to pinch it and pull it out.
- Oil – Use an oil that has a high smoking point like canola or coconut oil.
- Cooking Time – This will vary depending on the size of your peaches, ripeness and actual temperature of grill. You’ll know the peach is cooked when you can pierce it easily with a sharp pairing knife.
