Learn how to grill corn on the cob three different ways! You can grill it wrapped in foil, with the husk or without the husk.

Ingredients

  • 4 pieces of corn on the cob husks and silks removed
  • 1 Tablespoon olive oil
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Grilled Corn on the Cob in Foil

  • Preheat grill to medium high heat, 350-375 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Clean corn by removing all husks and silks.
  • Lay out sheets of foil.
  • Generously brush corn with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
  • Roll corn in foil and place on preheated grill.
  • Cook for 15-20 minutes, turning frequently to prevent corn from burning.
  • Remove corn from grill and serve with butter, herb butter, cheese or other toppings of your choice.

Grilled Corn on the Cob with Husk

  • Fill a very large bowl or tub with water.
  • Pull back husks and remove silks then wrap husks back around the pieces of corn.
  • Place in bowl of water to soak 30-60 minutes, longer is okay.
  • Preheat grill to medium high heat, 350-375 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Pull back husks and generously brush corn with olive oil, then wrap husk back around corn.
  • Place corn on grill and cook for 25-30 minutes, turning frequently to prevent corn from burning.
  • Remove corn from grill and serve with butter, herb butter, cheese or other toppings of your choice

Grilled Corn on the Cob without Husk

  • Preheat grill to medium high heat, 350-375 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Clean corn by pulling back husks and removing silks. Secure the pulled back husks with twin, if desired.
  • Generously brush corn with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
  • Place corn on grill and cook for 15-20 minutes, turning frequently to prevent corn from burning.
  • Remove corn from grill and serve with butter, herb butter, cheese or other toppings of your choice

Notes

How to Pick the Best Corn
  • The husks should be nice and green – not yellowed or browned.
  • The husks shouldn’t be dried out.
  • The husks should also be wrapped snuggly around the corn on the cob – not loose and falling away from it.
Can you use frozen corn on the cob for grilling?
Yes, if fresh corn is out of season you can use frozen corn on the cob! It works great in foil or grilled directly on the grates.
