Blackstone French Toast

- 8 slices thick slices of bread we used Texas Toast
- 4 eggs
- ¾ cup whole milk
- 1 Tablespoon granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 ½ teaspoons ground cinnamon
- Butter for griddle
- Toppings: Whipped Cream Fresh Berries and Syrup
Preheat the Blackstone griddle over medium, about 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
In a large shallow dish (I like to use a pie plate) whisk all the eggs, whole milk, sugar, vanilla extract and cinnamon until combined.
When the griddle is hot, melt butter on it, spreading it with a metal spatula.
Dip the bread slices, one at a time, into the egg mixture dredging them so they are coated on both sides. Place on the griddle.
Cook until golden brown on the bottom, about 2 minutes, then flip over and cook the opposite side until golden brown, about 2 minutes longer.
Remove to a plate and keep warm or serve immediately with desired toppings.
FRIDGE: Store leftovers in the fridge in an airtight container for 3-4 days. You could also use a Ziplock freezer bag!
FREEZER: Place leftovers in a freezer bag or airtight container with parchment paper in between the slices. Freeze for up to 2 months. Allow to thaw before reheating.
- Only dredge the bread long enough for it to get the egg mixture on both sides. Don’t let it soak too long or it will fall apart.
- If you don’t have butter on hand, spray your Blackstone griddle with cooking spray to prevent the french toast from sticking.
- Around fall, add a little nutmeg and clove to your egg mixture for a Fall-inspired take on Blackstone french toast!
