Preheat the smoker to 250 degrees Fahrenheit. – Separate the wings into drumettes and wings, if necessary.
Pat chicken wings completely dry with a paper towel. Place wings in a mixing bowl and toss with olive oil. When completely coated add BBQ rub and toss until evenly distributed.
Place wings on the preheated smoker. Smoke for 2 hours, maintaining constant smoke.
Raise the temperature to 375 F. Brush wings with BBQ sauce and cook until temperature is 165 degrees or about ten minutes. This step is optional if you desire a BBQ sauce on your wings.
Remove from the heat and let rest for approximately 10 minutes and then serve.
