Ingredients

  • 4 boneless pork chops
  • 6 Tablespoons butter divided

Blackened Rub

  • 1 Tablespoons smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon dried thyme
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon Kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper can add more or less depending on how hot you want it

Instructions

  • Preheat Blackstone to high heat.
  • In a small bowl mix together the rub ingredients and set aside.
  • Place the pork chops on a cutting board and pat them dry with a paper towel.
  • Melt 3 Tablespoons of the butter in a bowl. Using the basting brush, brush the melted butter on the pork chops and then sprinkle the Blackened Rub on the pork chops. Flip the pork chops over and repeat on the other side.
  • Once Blackstone is preheated, melt the remaining 3 Tablespoons of butter on the cooking surface.
  • Place the pork chops on the Blackstone in the melted butter..
  • Once there is a good char on the pork chops, about 4-5 minutes, flip it over to cook the other side. Cook for another 4-5 minutes.
  • Turn the heat down to medium then slide the pork chops together and cover with a dome and cook until they reach an internal temperature of 145 degrees Fahrenheit. This will take another 5-6 minutes depending on how thick your pork chops are.
  • Pull off the grill, rest for a few minutes, and plate with your favorite side dishes.

Notes

FRIDGE: Store in an airtight container or plastic bag once cooled for 3-4 days.
FREEZER: Wrap individually in plastic wrap and store in a plastic freezer bag for up to 3 months. Allow to thaw completely before reheating.
For a quick and easy way to reheat leftover pork chops, place them into a hot skillet on the stovetop. You can also reheat in the oven. The microwave will work too, but the texture of the pork chops may be rubbery when heated in the microwave.
