  • ½ teaspoon dried minced onion
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 pound ground beef 80/20 blend
  • 4 slices American cheese
  • 4 taco size soft tortillas get the SMALL ones!
  • 1 teaspoon beef seasoning or your favorite seasoning or salt & pepper
  • Toppings: Shredded lettuce, tomatoes, onions and pickles

Instructions

  • In a small mixing bowl, mix all the ingredients for the sauce until well combined. Place in the refrigerator while you prepare the smash burger tacos.
  • Prepare your toppings as desired so they are ready to serve with your tacos when they are done. Store in the refrigerator if needed.
  • Preheat Blackstone Griddle, flat-top griddle or 12'' cast iron skillet to medium-high heat.
  • Divide the ground beef into 4 equal sections. Take one section and spread it evenly over one side of a taco shell making sure to cover the entire taco shell, it will be thin. Repeat with all taco shells and ground beef. Place on a tray until ready to cook.
  • Season each taco with beef seasoning.
  • Place about half of butter onto the cooking surface, spread around with the back of the spatula. Place tacos with meat side down onto hot cooking surface.
  • Cook 3-4 minutes, flip taco and top with a slice of cheese on each taco. Cook an additional 3 minutes or until the hamburger is cooked through to 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Once the burgers are fully cooked, remove them from the griddle and add your desired toppings.
  • Serve and enjoy!

Notes

Leftover tacos will store best without any toppings and sauce. Place into an airtight container and store in the fridge for 2-3 days.
Leftover burger sauce can be stored in airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
To reheat, place in the oven or air fryer. We do not recommend microwaving leftovers because the tortilla will get really soggy. Do not freeze any leftover Blackstone smash burger tacos.
