Equipment

Ingredients

  • 4 steaks well marbled steaks like Ribeye, New York Strip, Porterhouse work best
  • 1 Tablespoon beef seasoning
  • 4 Tablespoons butter divided

Instructions

  • Preheat the Blackstone griddle over high heat (approximately 450 degrees Fahrenheit). You want the griddle to be hot to get a good sear on the steaks.
  • Make sure that the steaks are dry and are at room temperature. Then season the steaks with the Beef Seasoning.
  • Spread 2 Tablespoons of butter out onto the Blackstone griddle.
  • Once the butter is melted, place the steaks on the Blackstone griddle on top of the butter. Let them cook for 2-3 minutes and do not move them to get a good sear on the steaks.
  • Place the remaining butter on the opposite side of the griddle then the steaks and let melt. Then use tongs to gently lift and flip the steaks onto the melted butter. If the steaks are still sticking to the griddle, this means that they need more time and they are not ready to flip yet.
  • Reduce the Blackstone temperature to medium heat. Then cook the steaks for 2-3 more minutes to sear the opposite side of the steaks.
  • Check the temperature of the steak with a meat thermometer and cook until they are done to your preference.
  • Remove steaks and leave to rest for 5 minutes to allow the juices to redistribute.
  • Serve warm and then enjoy!
