Smoked Baked Beans
Smoky baked beans with bacon that are cooked in a Dutch oven on your smoker! So much flavor in this easy side dish.

- 6 strips thick cut bacon chopped
- 1 small onion chopped
- 2 teaspoons minced garlic
- 2 cans Pork and Beans 28 ounces each
- ¼ cup light brown sugar
- 2 Tablespoons molasses
- ½ cup BBQ sauce
- 2 Tablespoons yellow mustard
Set up the smoker to 250 degrees Fahrenheit.
Preheat the dutch oven to medium heat on your stove top.
Add the chopped bacon to the dutch oven and cook until it starts to brown.
Add onion and garlic to the bacon and stir to coat in the rendered fat.
Cook until the onions have softened then remove from the heat.
Add the remaining ingredients to the dutch oven and stir to combine.
Place the dutch oven on the preheated smoker at 250 degrees Fahrenheit and cook for 2 hours. Stir beans every 30 minutes.
Remove from the heat and serve while warm.
FRIDGE: Spoon leftovers into an airtight container and allow them to cool completely. Then store in the refrigerator for 3-4 days.
FREEZER: After allowing the beans to cool in an airtight container, store in the freezer for up to 3 months. Allow to thaw before reheating.
To reheat, place on the stove top or in the microwave until warmed through.
