Ingredients

  • 1 Tablespoons smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon dried thyme
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon Kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper can add more or less depending on how hot you want it

Instructions

  • In a small bowl mix together the rub ingredients.
  • Store in an airtight container in cool, dry place.

Notes

For best results, store your seasoning in a glass spice jar in a cool and dry place. A mason jar or another airtight container will work too! Be careful not to get any moisture in the container or the seasoning could develop clumps. You can store your blackening seasoning for 6 to 12 months.
