- 3 pounds chicken wings if whole cut the chicken wings into sections
- 1 Tablespoon olive oil
- 3 Tablespoons BBQ Rub
- 2 Tablespoons butter
- Dipping sauces optional
Preheat a Blackstone grill over medium-high heat (approximately 450 degrees Fahrenheit).
Dry the chicken with paper towels as much as possible and then put the wings in a large mixing bowl.
Add the olive oil and BBQ Rub to the bowl and stir until all the wings are coated with the BBQ Rub.
Melt the butter on the griddle and place the chicken wings directly on the top melted butter. Let the chicken sit for 2-3 minutes to brown it.
Flip the chicken and toss it with the butter to coat it with the butter as much as possible. Then allow the chicken to brown on the opposite side (2-3 more minutes).
Reduce the heat on the Blackstone grill to medium (around 350 degrees Fahrenheit). Cover with cooking dome and cook for 10-15 more minutes until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
Remove from the grill, serve with your favorite dipping sauces and enjoy!
Allow wings to cool completely and then place them into an airtight container or freezer safe bag.
Refrigerator: Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 4 days.
Freezer: You can also freeze leftover wings for up to three months by placing them in a freezer safe container.
Oven: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Place leftover chicken wings on a sheet pan lined with aluminum foil or parchment paper in a single layer. Bake for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, or until a instant read meat thermometer reads 165 degrees Fahrenheit in the thickest part of the wing.
Air Fryer: Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Spray the chicken wings with cooking spray to make them crispy, place in air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for about 10 minutes or until a instant read meat thermometer reads 165 degrees Fahrenheit in the thickest part of the wing.
Microwave: This is our least favorite method because the wings steam instead of getting crispy. Place wings on a damp paper towel lined plate and then top them with another damp paper towel. Microwave on high for 2-3 minutes.
