Ingredients

  • 3 pounds chicken wings cut
  • 1 Tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 Tablespoons BBQ rub
  • 2 Tablespoons butter
  • Dipping sauces optional

Instructions

  • Preheat a Blackstone grill over medium-high heat, approximately 450 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Dry chicken with paper towels as much as possible and put the wings in a large mixing bowl.
  • Add olive oil and BBQ Rub to the bowl and stir until all the wings are well coated with BBQ Rub.
  • Melt butter on the griddle and place the chicken wings directly on top of melted butter. Let the chicken brown for 2-3 minutes.
  • Flip the chicken and toss it with the butter to coat. Brown chicken on the opposite side, 2-3 more minutes.
  • Reduce the heat on the Blackstone grill to medium (around 350 degrees Fahrenheit). Cover with cooking dome and cook for 10-15 minutes until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Remove from the grill, serve with your favorite dipping sauces and enjoy.

Notes

Fridge: Store leftover chicken wings in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
Freezer: Freeze in a single layer on a baking sheet before storing in an airtight container or freezer bag. Thaw in the fridge overnight before reheating.
To reheat leftover wings, bake on a sheet pan in the oven for about 10 minutes at 350 degrees. The air fryer is also a great way to reheat wings. Preheat to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and cook for about 10 minutes. Don't forget to spray the chicken with cooking spray and place them in a single layer to make them crispy.
If you need to use the microwave, place wings on a damp paper towel lined plate and then top them with another damp paper towel. Microwave on high for 2-3 minutes. We don't recommend this method because the wings will not crisp up.
