Garlic Steak Marinade

Ingredients

Marinade

  • 4 Tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 4 Tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 Tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 3 Tablespoons minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 Tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

Steaks

  • 1 ½ pounds steak 2-4 steaks

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, whisk together first 8 ingredients.
  • Add steaks to a resealable zip lock bag or large bowl and pour the marinade over the top of the steak. Squeeze as much air out of bag as possible and seal.
  • Marinate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
  • To cook steaks on a skillet: Turn heat to high and let preheat. Place steaks in hot skillet. Cook for 3 minutes on each side. Reduce heat to medium-high. Cook steaks to desired doneness, flipping as needed. It will take about 10 minutes depending on thickness of steaks. I prefer mine to be about 145 degrees Fahrenheit, which is medium.
  • To cook steaks on the grill: Preheat grill to medium-high. Place steaks on grill. Cook 4-6 minutes per side or until the internal temperature reaches at least 145 degrees Fahrenheit for medium.
  • Let steaks rest 3-5 minutes before serving.
