  • 1/2 tsp salt

Instructions

  • Preheat grill to 350-400 degrees F.
  • Tear off 4 12x12 pieces of tinfoil. Place a piece of corn on each piece of foil. Rub 1 Tbsp butter over each piece of corn. Sprinkle 1/8 tsp salt on each piece of corn. Wrap up in tinfoil.

Notes

How to Pick the Best Corn!
  • We love fresh corn so if we can’t get it out of our field we often time hit up a farmer’s stand or the farmers market. We recommend buying from local farmers to make sure it’s fresh.
  • A bright green corn stalk that is still tightly wrapped around the cob is a great sign it’s a good cob of corn.
  • Another thing to look for is the husk and silk should still be moist, sticky and brown.
  • If you can, look for any tiny wormholes or bugs. Sometimes it’s a little tricky to see this but just give it a once over.
Bake it!
If you don’t want to grill it you can also pop it in the oven.
Follow the same steps to prepare, but place it on a sheet pan in a preheated oven at 400 degrees F and bake for 20-30 minutes depending on the size of your piece of corn.
Topping Ideas
We are a family of traditionalists, but if you want to take your corn up a notch try these fun toppings beyond butter and salt!
  • Fresh Herbs like parsley, cilantro or chives
  • A dash of paprika or smoked paprika
  • Old Bay gives it the flavor of living by the coast
  • Turn it into Mexican Street Corn with sprinkle of cheese, lime and cilantro
  • Love ranch? Sprinkle a little ranch seasoning on it.
