Key Ingredients

  • Frozen cheese tortellini – Let this thaw in the fridge overnight. It goes straight onto the Blackstone griddle to cook, so you don’t need to boil and cook them ahead of time. If you’ve already got another type of tortellini at home, you can use it!
  • Chicken breast – Cut the boneless, skinless chicken breasts into 1-inch pieces for even cooking.
  • Ranch dressing – No need to make complicated homemade sauces, just add your favorite store bought dressing!
  • Mozzarella cheese – We always buy a block and shred it ourselves for the best flavor and meltability.

How To Make Blackstone Chicken Bacon Ranch Tortellini

  1. Cook tortellini – Add thawed tortellini to the griddle, cover with cooking dome. We squirt a little water on the griddle under the dome to create steam to cook the tortellini. After 3 minutes, flip the tortellini, add more water, and cover for 3 more minutes. Coat in olive oil and push to the side.
  2. Cook chicken and bacon – Cook chicken, bacon and onion in remaining olive oil. Season and cook for 5-6 minutes, flipping a few times.
  3. Combine everything together – Add the spinach and garlic, combine and cook everything together on the griddle for 3 minutes.
  4. Add creaminess – Add the ranch dressing and mozzarella cheese and cook for 1-2 minutes until the cheese melts.

Serving Suggestions

This is a filling dish that just needs a side veggie or two to complete the meal. Since we are already cooking outside, we often make a Grilled Caesar Salad or Blackstone Brussels Sprouts to include with this tasty tortellini meal. Sometimes we even just eat this dish alone as our whole meal!

There’s also just something about outdoor cooking, we almost always have dessert when we are done. Since the Blackstone is already fired up and ready to go, we love to have the kids mix up the dough for Blackstone Chocolate Chip Cookies. The meal is always so fun when it’s a family affair!

Equipment

  • Blackstone Griddle
  • Blackstone Accessories
  • Cooking dome
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Sharp Knife
  • Cutting Board
  • Meat Thermometer
  • Box grater

Ingredients

  • 20 ounces frozen cheese tortellini thawed but not cooked
  • 2 Tablespoons olive oil
  • 8 slices bacon chopped
  • 1 ½ pound boneless skinless chicken breasts cubed
  • 1 onion diced
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 cups fresh spinach chopped
  • 5 teaspoons garlic minced
  • 1 cup ranch dressing
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese shredded

Instructions

  • Preheat the griddle to medium heat. Add the thawed tortellini to the griddle and cover it with a 9×13 foil pan or melting dome and squirt a little water on the griddle under the dome.
  • Cook for 3 minutes total, flip them halfway through, add more water, and cover again. After 3 minutes take the cover off and set the pan or melting dome aside.
  • Add half the olive oil to the tortellini and the other half of the olive oil to an empty space on the griddle. Put the chicken, bacon, and onion over the oil and season with kosher salt and pepper. Cook for 5-6 minutes, flipping both the tortellini and chicken a few times. Once the chicken and bacon is browned, mix the chicken, bacon and tortellini together.
  • Add the spinach and garlic, combine and cook everything together on the griddle for 3 minutes.
  • Add the ranch dressing and mozzarella cheese and combine. Cook for 1-2 minutes until the cheese melts.
  • Scoop the tortellini mixture into a serving dish and serve hot.

Tips

No cooking dome? No problem! Cover the tortellini with a 9×13″ foil pan.
Add any other veggies your family might enjoy like diced bell pepper, sliced mushrooms, diced zucchini or cherry tomatoes.
Fridge: Store leftover chicken bacon ranch tortellini in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
Freezer: You can store leftovers in the freezer if you want, in an airtight container. Thaw in the fridge overnight before reheating. The sauce might separate, so give it a good stir while reheating.
Reheat covered with a splash of water if the tortellini seems a bit dry. Simply use the stovetop, microwave or the Blackstone griddle.
