PIN IT FOR LATER!

While glazed carrots are delicious anytime of the year, I especially love them during the winter. That cozy, brown sugar glaze paired with the natural sweetness of carrots is just irresistable. Pair it with a double smoked ham or something super simple, like a Blackstone steak for a hearty meal!

Even picky eaters love this perfect side dish! If you’ve got those individuals in your family who just don’t want to eat their veggies, then you’ve gotta give this a try. It’s the most flavorful side dish and is honestly so easy to make. Transform this simple root vegetable into a sweet and savory dish that everyone will enjoy! This recipe is super easy and will pair well with dozens of your favorite main course meals.

Why You’ll Love these Blackstone Glazed Carrots

  • You only need five simple ingredients to make Blackstone glazed carrots. This just goes to prove that you don’t need a ton of stuff to make a tasty recipe!
  • Make these Blackstone carrots in under a half hour. While dinner is cooking in the oven or on the grill, you can prep a side dish and then serve and enjoy!

Ingredients for Blackstone Glazed Carrots

  • Carrots – Wash the carrots well and peel them before slicing to make these Blackstone glazed carrots.
  • Butter – You can use unsalted or salted butter for this recipe, both work great!
  • Brown sugar – This is the key ingredient to making glazed carrots. Both light brown sugar and dark brown sugar will work.
  • Salt – For a savory sweet combo, add a pinch of salt to the other glaze ingredients.
  • Water – To make this Blackstone carrots recipe, you’ll need a metal dome lid and some water. This steams the carrots, making them tender and delicious!

How to Make Blackstone Glazed Carrots

  1. Preheat the Blackstone griddle over low heat, then peel the whole carrots and slice them into ¼ inch thick slices.
  2. Place carrots on the griddle. Then pour the ¼ cup of water on top of the sliced carrots and cover with a dome lid to steam them.
  3. Cook for approximately 4-5 minutes, then flip the carrots and cook for another 3-4 more minutes until they are tender.
  4. Top the carrots with butter and let it melt, then add in the brown sugar and salt and stir until combined. Cook for 2 more minutes and toss to coat the carrots with the glaze mixture.
  5. Remove and serve while warm. Enjoy!

How to Store Leftover Glazed Carrots

I prefer glazed carrots fresh because they are the perfect texture and the glaze is a little thicker, but you can store leftovers if needed. Transfer any leftover carrots to an airtight container and allow to cool completely.

FRIDGE: Store carrots in the refrigerator for three to four days.

FREEZER: These carrots can be frozen for 2-3 months. However, keep in mind that the carrots may be a little mushy after they are thawed and reheated.

Variations for Blackstone Glazed Carrots

While I like to keep this recipe pretty simple, there are a lot of ways you can adapt it to have different flavors and fit your personal preferences. To reduce the amount of refined sugar, use some maple syrup in place of the brown sugar. Add extra cozy flavor to this root veggie recipe with spices like cinnamon and even some nutmeg.

Fresh herbs like rosemary and thyme add great flavor to the recipe as well. Other spices like black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder can all be used on Blackstone glazed carrots too.

What to Serve with Blackstone Glazed Carrots

You can pair these carrots with just about anything! I love to serve them with some smoked chicken thighs, smoked pork loin, and Blackstone pork chops.

It also goes well with other veggie side dishes like grilled vegetables or grilled foil packet green beans. This is a great Thanksgiving side too! Serve it alongside some smoked turkey or a cider glazed ham.

Pro Tips for the Best Blackstone Glazed

  • Make sure the carrot slices are all an even thickness so that they all finish cooking at the same time.
  • Feel free to double or triple this recipe so that you have plenty of carrots to serve to all of your guests!
  • Wash you carrots well before peeling. You won’t want any dirt or other funky debris in your food.

Carrots on the Blackstone are so easy and so yummy! This quick recipe never fails to impress the guests and it always tastes amazing.
