Apple Monkey Bread
Ooey, gooey Cinnamon Apple Monkey Bread made right on the grill! Everyone loves this breakfast! Tender apples and sweet bread all topped with a delicious icing! This breakfast tastes like a cinnamon roll on steroids but sweeter and even better because you don’t have to heat up the house!
I always feel guilty for eating something that tastes like dessert for breakfast….I mean like for a nanosecond. Then I dig right in!
This Apple Monkey Bread is one of those guilty, but delicious breakfasts or desserts. I love the addition of juicy apples just in time for fall, but really you could enjoy this anytime of the year.
Fall + Apples = Heaven
I’d have to say I’m totally an apple girl and prefer apple to pumpkin any day of the week!
We made this monkey bread on the grill, but you can totally just pop it in the oven at 350 degrees if you don’t want to grill it. You can also use a 9” x 13” cake pan if you don’t have an aluminum pan!
Where is monkey bread from?
Actually Monkey Bread is Hungarian in origin. Know for being balls of dough dipped in butter and sugar, cinnamon and nuts. Delicious!
Why do they call it Monkey bread?
It’s called Monkey Bread because it’s an easy pull apart bread eaten with your fingers!
That’s why it’s perfect for camping, when the kids are having a sleep over, when you don’t want to heat up the house or don’t have room in the oven – think Thanksgiving or Christmas day!

This looks delicious and I cannot wait to make it. I do have a question; What kind of Apples did you use? or Which kind of Apples do you recommend? I have Golden Delicious, would they work in this? Thanks for any help you can give me. Have a wonderful and blessed weekend.

I usually use Honeycrisp. A golden Delicious will not stay as firm, but I’m sure it would be delicious!
