Why You’ll Love This Recipe
- It only takes 5 minutes to mix up this marinade for pork with ingredients I’m sure you already have at home.
- Tenderizes your pork chop so you’ll pull a juicy, delicious pork chop off the grill every time.
- This marinade infuses your pork with so much flavor. No more bland pork chops!
Ingredients For Pork Chop Marinade
- Brown sugar – Adds just a touch of sweetness, plus it helps to caramelize the pork chops when you cook them. Use honey it it’s place if you prefer.
- Extra virgin olive oil – Prevents the pork from sticking to the grill plus helps transfer the flavors to the pork while it marinates.
- Soy sauce – This is the secret ingredient for the best pork chop marinade. It acts as a brine, which injects the pork with tons of flavor and makes it juicy. It’s way better than your basic salt and water brine because it also brings a flavor to your marinade. We tend to use low sodium soy sauce.
- Worcestershire sauce – Adds a depth of flavor.
- Seasonings – Adjust salt and ground black pepper to your taste buds. You can even leave the salt out since the soy sauce provides plenty of salt.
- Garlic – Provides so much flavor. Fresh garlic works best.
- Bone-in pork chops – Any thickness works and you can use boneless if you prefer, just adjust your cooking times. This marinade is great on pork loin too.
How to Marinate Pork Chops
Whisk all ingredients, except pork chops, together in a small bowl.
Place pork chops into a resealable food bag, followed by the marinade and squeeze as much air out of bag as possible before sealing it. Marinate for at least 2 hours or overnight. I love to throw this together in the morning and let it marinate while I am at work so when I get home, supper is ready in 10 minutes.

How to Grill Marinated Pork Chops
Place pork chops on preheated grill or in grill pan.
Grill for 4-5 minutes on each side or until a thermometer inserted in the middle of the meat reaches 145 degrees Fahrenheit. Remove pork chops and allow to rest for at least 3 minutes before eating to allow the juices to redistribute.

Can I Bake Marinated Pork Chops in The Oven?
You sure can! Oven-baked pork chops are great if you are not in the mood to grill or it’s too cold to be outside grilling. Place the marinated pork chops on an oil or parchment lined baking sheet and bake for about 25 minutes in a 400 degree Fahrenheit oven.
Be sure your pork chops reach an internal temperature of 145 degrees Fahrenheit and rest for three minutes before you dig in.

Pro Tips
- Reserve a little marinade before pouring it onto the raw meat to save and brush on the cooked pork chops for a little extra flavor.
- Discard any unused marinade in the zip top bag since it was in contact with the raw pork.
- You can freeze uncooked pork in a resealable bag with the marinade to save time down the road. Just thaw in the fridge overnight and grill as directed! I love to double this recipe and freeze half.
- Pork should be cooked to an internal temperature of 145 degrees Fahrenheit and then rested for about 3 minutes before serving. This temperature might still yield a bit of a pink meat, but it is safe to eat. Use an instant read thermometer to be sure.

Storage and Reheating
Fridge: Store cooked and cooled leftover pork chops in an airtight container up to three days.
