Ingredients for Blackstone Shrimp

  • Shrimp – Buy large raw shrimp peeled and deveined for the best results with this particular recipe.
  • Olive oil – This will help to coat the shrimp in seasonings.
  • Seasonings – Garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, Italian seasoning, salt and ground black pepper.
  • Butter – Cooking shrimp in butter? It doesn’t get any better. Use unsalted if you want to have control of salt in this dish.
  • Lemon – Fresh lemon juice squeezed over the shrimp really elevates the flavor.
  • Parsley – Chopped fresh parsley adds a pop of green.

Pro Tips

  • Shrimp must be cooked to an internal temperature of 145 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • If you happen to buy shrimp with shells on, cook with the shell on to retain moisture and flavor.
  • You can cook the shrimp on a skewer if you want. The shrimp skewers are easy to flip over on the grill and they are easy to serve.
  • Allow shrimp to rest for a few minutes before serving to let juices redistribute throughout.

Storage and Reheating

Fridge: Store leftovers in an airtight container for 3 to 4 days.

Freezer: Believe it or not, you can freeze cooked shrimp. Freeze in a single layer on a baking sheet before adding them to a freezer bag. Thaw in the fridge overnight.

Reheat leftover shrimp on the Blackstone or in the microwave until hot throughout.

How to Serve Blackstone Shrimp

For a delicious meal, our family loves to enjoy this shrimp over a bed of white rice alongside Grilled Asparagus or if we’ve got some extra time, a Bacon Wrapped version.

Another great way to enjoy Blackstone shrimp is with your favorite long pasta noodles, like linguine, tossed in butter and fresh herbs. This is a really comforting dish.

Okay, one more suggestion! Switch it up on taco Tuesday and make shrimp tacos or shrimp fajitas.

  • Put leftovers to work by subbing shrimp in for the chicken in our Chicken Fried Rice. It’s a bonus if you’ve already got the rice on hand, too.
  • Don’t forget about Fried Eggs. A quick protein packed dish that you can eat any time of the day when you need a little energy.
  • This Tortellini dish has got it all. Kielbasa, tomatoes and spinach, just to name a few. Sounds like a great way to use up leftover shrimp if you ask me.
