This Asian Pork Tenderloin is marinated in a flavorful sauce and grilled to juicy perfection in just 30 minutes, making it an easy and delicious dinner that’s perfect for busy weeknights and sure to impress the whole family.

This tender, juicy grilled pork tenderloin is so amazing on the grill! It’s marinated in an easy Asian Marinade for pork tenderloin that gives it so much flavor. I love that I can whip up this marinade in the morning and let my pork tenderloins marinate while I’m busy all day then grill them for dinner. They are on and off the grill in 30 minutes. That’s my kind of meal!
There are a lot of different Asian pork tenderloin recipes out there, but I do think this one is the best. While I pair them with grilled vegetables and sweet potatoes to make it a meal right on the grill, you can cook up just about any sides to go with the pork.
Why You’ll Love This Recipe
- You can finally say goodby to dry and chewy pork. These grilled tenderloins are juicy and delicious with so much flavor.
- The savory marinade is made with pantry staples. I bet the only thing you need to pick up from the grocery store is the tenderloin!
- If you add the loins to the marinade before marinade before you head to work for the day, supper won’t take long once you get home for the evening.

Ingredients for Asian Pork Tenderloin
- Pork tenderloin – Don’t confuse this with pork loin. Pork tenderloin is long, narrow and always boneless, while pork loin is generally wider and flatter and might be bone-in. They are not interchangeable.
- Honey – Offers a sweetness and subtle flavor to the Asian pork marinade.
- Brown sugar – Will caramelize when grilling.
- Soy sauce – Adds the umami flavor we know and love. Soy sauce is also great for tenderizing the meat.
- Seasonings – Ground ginger and garlic powder are added to the marinade to really boost the flavor of the pork tenderloin.
How To Make Asian Pork Tenderloin
In a resealable plastic bag mix together honey, brown sugar, soy sauce, ground ginger and garlic powder. Reserve half of this marinade and set aside.
Add pork tenderloin to bag with remaining marinade. Seal bag and place in refrigerator for at least 4 hours and up to 8 hours.
Place tenderloins on preheated grill for 30 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 145 degrees Fahrenheit. Rotate the tenderloins every 10 minutes and baste with marinade you set aside.
Remove from grill and cover with foil. Let rest 10 minutes to let juices redistribute.

Storage and Reheating
Fridge: Store leftover Asian pork tenderloin in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
Freezer: Freeze leftover tenderloin, once cool, in a single layer on a parchment lined baking sheet before storing it in a freezer bag. Thaw overnight in the fridge or reheat from frozen.
To reheat, add a bit of water to a pan for moisture and heat covered on the stovetop until hot throughout.
Pro Tips
- Use a meat thermometer to ensure the pork reaches an internal temperature of 145 degrees Fahrenheit. Measure at the thickest part of the meat, in this case, the middle.
- To impress your guests with a beautiful looking dish, garnish with green onion and sesame seeds.

Can I Bake Asian Pork Tenderloin in the Oven?
You can always bake these on a baking sheet in the oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for about 30 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 145 degrees Fahrenheit.
Can I Make Pork Tenderloin Ahead And Freeze?
Freeze uncooked pork in a bag with marinade. Transfer the reserved marinade to a freezer container and freeze. To use, remove bag and container from freezer and place in refrigerator overnight to thaw tenderloins and marinade. Grill as directed.

Pork tenderloin is a great way to feed a crowd for any get together like game day or a cookout. Everyone will love the flavor as well as how juicy this cut of pork is.

This was a waste of a good tenderloin. It didn’t have an Asian taste at all. I did mine in the oven in a foil wrap with a thermometer inserted. It was very very tender but that’s it.It was cooked to 150°.
Courtney says
Did you allow the 4-8 hours of marinating? That makes a huge difference.
Garden Goddess says
This had an excellent flavor, however the second time I made it I doubled the sauce and set aside 1/2. I add cornstarch and cook it until the sauce thicken and drizzled over the meat. Outstanding.

Excited to try. When you bake in oven can you cook in all the marinade? Meaning mix marinade, put pork in then dump all of it straight into glass cooking dish?
Thanks 😊
Julie says
Hi Marie – I haven’t tired it in the oven with all of the marinade but you certainly could try. It should have great flavor and keep the meat nice and moist! Let me know how it turns out.

Indirect or direct heat?
Julie Evink says
Direct heat!
Chris says
I’m a little confused. Is this a recipe for pork tenderloin or for pork loin? There is a difference.
Julie Evink says
I used a tenderloin. You can use it for a pork loin, depending on the size you might need to double the marinade grill it longer, rotating every 30 minutes.
