PIN IT FOR LATER!

And you don’t have to use smoked pork for this recipe – any pulled pork will work! But, our smoked pulled pork recipe is amazing and these loaded fries are a great way to use up leftovers.

Why this Pulled Pork Fries Recipe Works!

  • These loaded fries are like my pulled pork nachos but instead of tortilla chips, all that delicious smoked pork is piled on fries!
  • The French fries recipe is one of my favorite ways to use up leftover pulled pork and is a super quick appetizer for game day or make it for a fun dinner.
  • We love ours with lots of cheddar cheese on top, but feel free to add your favorite toppings! It’s an easy recipe to adapt so you can make it your own.
  • If you love cheese fries, you are going to LOVE these loaded French fries!
Ingredients for Pulled Pork Fries

Ingredients for Pulled Pork Fries

  • Frozen fries – I like crinkle fries because the ridges hold on to all the toppings. You can also use waffle fries or regular French fries.
  • Leftover pulled pork – our smoked pulled pork is amazing or you can use Instant Pot Pulled Pork or slow cooker pulled pork. If you’re in a real rush, just use store-bought pulled pork!
  • BBQ Sauce – pick your favorite store-bought barbecue sauce. Mix it up and use our Alabama White BBQ Sauce!
  • Diced onion – use yellow onion, red onion, or white onion. Cheat and grab the diced frozen onions to have on hand.
  • Shredded cheddar cheese – or other shredded cheese that you like with loaded fries or nachos. Shredding your own cheese always results in the best melty cheese!
  • Chopped green onions

How to Make Pulled Pork Fries

Assemble – Place the frozen French fries on a large rimmed baking sheet. Top them with the pork, BBQ sauce, diced onions, and cheese.

Bake – Place fries in preheated oven and bake them until the fries are hot and crispy and the cheese is melted.

Garnish – Sprinkle the green onions over the top and serve with other favorite toppings as desired!

What other pulled pork fries toppings can you add?

Anything that pairs well with BBQ sauce will go great on top of these fries. Here are more toppings you can try – add them after you bake the fries:

  • Sour cream
  • Chopped herbs like fresh parsley or cilantro
  • More shredded cheese like pepper jack or Monterey jack cheese
  • Dice avocado or a scoop of guacamole
  • Diced jalapeno
  • Pickled onions
  • I’ve even seen some versions topped with coleslaw!

Are you ready to get that smoker going so you can make these pulled pork French fries? I promise you’ll love them!

What other ways can you use leftover pulled pork?

These pulled pork fries are just one way to use it up. Here are more of my favorite ways to use it up – there’s lots of options!

  • Enchiladas – roll it up in flour tortillas, top them with enchilada sauce and cheese, and bake. These enchiladas are to die for!
  • Chili – it makes the best chili! With leftover pork you can make a cozy batch of chili in 30 minutes.
  • Pizza – save some leftovers to make an amazing pulled pork pizza! It’s topped with bacon, onion, cheese, and pineapple – it’s delicious!
  • Taquitos – make these crispy taquitos the next time you smoke some shredded pork. They won’t disappoint!

We made these tonight and they were amazing! And, YES, the fries were cooked under all the stuff!!!! So super easy. I used a pound of purchased pulled pork with sauce and still put some of our own sauce on top. Quick and easy meal…just like I like them! Will definitely add this one to our routine!
