We love to make these pork chops when we’re having guests over because everyone raves about how tasty they are. The simple honey garlic marinade that the pork chops are marinated in is really easy to make too. We rarely use store-bought marinades and sauces anymore because homemade is so much better. Whether we’re looking to grill pork chops or make marinated chicken breast, a homemade sauce is the way to go. This easy honey garlic glaze is what makes the pork chop recipe so good! You’re gonna love it!

Ingredients for Grilled Honey Garlic Pork Chops

  • Brown sugar – Using both brown sugar and honey on these honey garlic pork chops helps make the glaze extra sticky sweet. It’s the key to the perfect glaze!
  • Minced garlic – Freshly minced garlic adds so much depth of flavor to this pork recipe. Use lots of garlic to get that bold flavor.
  • Soy sauce – If you need to control the salt content a bit more, then use some low sodium soy sauce or coconut aminos.
  • Honey – You can’t have a honey garlic pork chops recipe without honey.
  • Boneless pork chops – You can use bone-in pork chops if you prefer, just keep in mind that the cook time will likely be a bit different.

  3. Brush each chop, on all sides, with sauce to coat. Reserve the extra sauce for later.
  4. Place each of the pork chops onto the preheated grill and cook for 8 minutes. Then flip the pork chops and brush another layer of sauce on the top of the pork chops and cook for another 8 minutes or until internal temperature of 145 degrees Fahrenheit.

How to Store Leftover Grilled Pork Chops

Allow the pork chops to cool completely and then transfer to an airtight container or wrap individually in plastic wrap or aluminum foil.

FRIDGE: Store leftovers in the refrigerator for 3-4 days.

FREEZER: Leftovers can also be frozen for 2-3 months. Store in a freezer bag with all the air squeezed out to prevent freezer burn.

What temperature should pork chops be cooked to?

It is best to cook pork chops to 145 degrees F. Use an Instant Read meat thermometer to quickly and accurately check the internal temperature of the meat and ensure that it is properly cooked.

What to serve with honey garlic pork chops

We love to serve these easy honey garlic pork chops with white rice, brown rice, or cauliflower rice. Simple sides like roasted broccoli and grilled cauliflower also pair great with these easy pork chops.

Pork chops always go great with a baked potato too! Or serve them with some grilled sweet potatoes and grilled asparagus for an extra healthy meal. Whatever side dish you choose, these are the best honey garlic pork chops to pair with it!

Pro Tips for the Best Honey Garlic Pork Chops

  • Don’t choose pork chops that are too thick or they may not cook evenly. I typically stick to pork chops that are an inch thick or less.
  • Never save marinade that has touched raw meat! You should discard it.
  • Brush the grill grates with some oil to prevent the pork chops from sticking as they cook. This will especially help with the sticky glaze!

These have quickly become our favorite pork chops on a busy day. You can also use this marinade on pork tenderloin and other cuts of pork! It’s seriously such a yummy addition to pork and creates the most flavorful meals.
