How do I grill Teriyaki Chicken?

Prepare Teriyaki Marinade -All you need to do is whisk together all the ingredients in a bowl until the sugar is dissolved.

Marinade Chicken Breasts – Place the chicken breasts in a sealable bag and pour the marinade on top. Let set for at least 2 hours.

Grill Chicken – Grill the chicken at 425 degrees for at least 7-10 minutes on each side or until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees.

You’ll notice that as you grill, the marinade will start to caramelize a bit due to the added brown sugar.

Quick Tips and Tricks for Teriyaki Chicken!

Here are some frequently asked questions about grilling Teriyaki Chicken! If you have additional questions please comment below and we will do our best to answer them!

What should the internal temperature of grilled chicken be?

Use an instant read meat thermometer and always double-check the internal temperature of the chicken to see if it’s done. To be able to pull it and serve, the internal temperature needs to be at least 165 degrees.

Make sure you don’t grill it past that 165 degree F mark or you will be left with dry, chewy chicken breasts and no one wants over cooked chicken!

Can I use leftover marinade?

I wouldn’t chance it. Since you mixed it with raw chicken, whatever you don’t use, you’ll want to toss. No chance of worrying about contamination this way.

If you’d like to baste your chicken while grilling remove about 1/2 c. before putting the chicken in the marinade!

How should I store leftover grilled chicken?

Simple add it in a seal-able bag or container and place it in the fridge. It should stay good for the next 48 hours without issue.

What can I do with leftover Teriyaki Chicken?

So many things! You can use it as a stir fry with veggies or add it to the top of your favorite salad. Or, if you like leftovers, just heat it up and eat it as is.

When it comes to eating and dealing with leftover chicken, the options are truly endless.
