Ingredients for Blackstone Blackened Pork Chops

  • Pork chops – I prefer to use boneless pork chops for this recipe. However, you can use bone-in pork chops just keep in mind that you may need to add some cook time.

How to Make Blackstone Blackened Pork Chops

Preheat Blackstone to high heat and then mix together the spices in a small bowl and set it to the side.

Place the pork chops onto a cutting board and pat them dry with some paper twoels. Then melt 3 tablespoons of butter and brush the melted butter on the top of the pork chop.

Sprinkle blackening seasoning on the buttered side, then flip and repeat the process.

Once the Blackstone is preheated, melt the remaining 3 tablespoons of butter on the hot cooking surface.

Place the pork chops onto the Blackstone in the melted butter. Once there is a good char on the first side, flip it over and cook the other side for 4-5 minutes.

Then turn the heat down to medium and slide the Blackstone blackened pork chop together and cover with a cooking dome. Cook until the internal temperature reaches 145 degrees Fahrenheit. This should take about 5-6 minutes.

Once fully cooked, pull pork chops off of the cooktop and let them rest for a few minutes. Then serve and enjoy!

How to Store Leftover Blackened Pork Chops

Allow the pork chops to cool completely and then transfer to an airtight container or individually in plastic bags.

FRIDGE: Store in the refrigerator for 3-4 days.

FREEZER: Store in a plastic freezer bag for up to 3 months. Allow to thaw completely before reheating.

How to Reheat Blackened Pork Chops

For a quick and easy way to reheat your pork chops, place them into a hot skillet on the stovetop. You can also reheat in the oven. The microwave will work too, but the texture of the pork chops may be rubbery when heated in the microwave.

How long does it take to cook pork chops on a griddle?

It will take about 4-5 minutes per side to cook these Blackstone blackened pork chops. Then you’ll also need to cook them with a dome over the top for about 5 minutes. The total cook time is about 15 minutes.

How do you keep pork chops from drying out on the griddle?

Allowing pork chops to rest before slicing will help keep them juicy and tender. The use of a cooking dome also help keep the Blackstone pork chops from drying out! Make sure that you are using an instant read thermometer to check the internal temperature too so that you don’t overcook the pork chops.

What to Serve with Blackstone Blackened Pork Chops

Tasty side dishes like smoked baked beans and grilled cauliflower are great sides to pair with these delicious pork chops. A classic baked potato is always a good idea too!

You can also cook up some vegetables like bacon wrapped asparagus or grilled zucchini. Grilled foil packet potatoes would be tasty with griddle pork chops too!

Pro Tips for the Best Blackstone Pork Chops

  • Use an instant read meat thermometer so that you can get a quick and accurate internal temperature reading.
  • Don’t heat the flat top griddle too hot or the pork chops will stick. Use a high heat, but keep an eye on how the pork chops are doing!
  • For a nice zesty touch, squeeze some fresh lemon juice over the pork chops as they are resting.
