Ingredients for Blackstone Chicken Stir Fry Noodles
- Rice noodles – Rice noodles are most commonly used in a stir fry like this, but you can use a different type of noodle if you prefer. If you’d rather use white rice or brown rice, then I recommend checking out our recipe for Blackstone chicken fried rice.
- Vegetable oil – You’ll need plenty of oil on the Blackstone to keep the stir fry from sticking.
- Boneless chicken breast – Feel free to use boneless skinless chicken thighs if you prefer.
- Broccoli florets – You can use both fresh and frozen broccoli florets in this recipe
- Coleslaw mix – Grab a bag of this shredded cabbage mix at the grocery store and toss it with this stir fry for added veggie content!
- Garlic minced – Freshly minced garlic adds so much flavor to a stir fry.
- Ground ginger – I prefer using ground ginger over ginger paste in this recipe. The flavor is a bit more subtle.
- Beef broth – Beef broth helps make the right consistency for the sauce but also adds depth of flavor.
- Reduced sodium soy sauce – You can use regular soy sauce, but it will make the dish pretty salty. Feel free to use coconut aminos too!
- Cornstarch – Thicken the stir fry sauce with some cornstarch.
- Sesame oil – Sesame oil has a very distinct flavor, so we do not recommend substituting it with another oil.
- Brown sugar – Add a bit of sweetness to this dish with some brown sugar!
How to Make Blackstone Chicken Stir Fry
Boil a pot of water and cook the rice noodles according to the instructions on the package. Once they’re done, drain the water and then rinse with cold water. Set them aside for later.
Next, combine all the sauce ingredients in a small mixing bowl and then set it to the side.
Preheat your Blackstone griddle over medium heat. Once heated, spread the vegetable oil onto the grill. Add the chicken to the griddle and add the broccoli onto the griddle next to the chicken.
Cook the chicken and vegetables for 3-4 minutes, flipping every minute, until the chicken is brown and almost cooked through and the vegetables are tender.
Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken and broccoli and toss to combine. Then toss in the cooked rice noodles and coleslaw mix.
Mix the ingredients together and heat the dish for 2-3 minutes or until the coleslaw mix starts to wilt and it’s heated through. Make sure the chicken is cooked to an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
Once cooked, remove from the grill, serve warm and enjoy!
How To Store Leftover Blackstone Chicken Stir Fry
FRIDGE: Transfer leftover chicken stir fry to an airtight container and store in the fridge for 4-5 days.
FREEZER: Store leftovers in the freezer for about 3 months. Allow to thaw completely before reheating. Keep in mind that the coleslaw may have a funny texture after being frozen, thawed and reheated.
How to Reheat Chicken Stir Fry
There may not be as much sauce when you reheat leftovers. With that in mind, you can add a splash of broth if the stir fry is super dry, or whip up extra sauce to add. Reheat on the stove top or Blackstone for best results.
What Can I add to Blackstone Chicken Stir Fry?
There are so many tasty things you can add to this recipe to make it extra delicious! I love to add a garnish of chopped green onions, but there are endless possibilities. Here’s a few fun ideas:
- carrots
- mushrooms
- yellow onion
- white onion
- green peas
- eggs
- red bell pepper
- sriracha sauce
What to Serve with Blackstone Chicken Stir Fry
While you can serve your stir fry all on its own, you can also serve it with yummy side dishes like seasoned smoked potatoes or green beans with bacon. Of course, egg rolls are always a great option too.
Add extra veggies into the mix with a side dish of grilled cauliflower. Some grilled zucchini and easy grilled vegetables would be a tasty pairing too!
Why is my chicken sticking to my Blackstone?
If your chicken is sticking to the Blackstone, then you likely did not use enough oil. You may also have the Blackstone on too high of heat. Reduce the heat and add a bit more oil and that should solve the problem!
Pro Tips for the Best Chicken Stir Fry Noodles
- Don’t forget to rinse the noodles in cold water. This will stop them from cooking anymore and keep them from having a mushy texture once tossed with the other ingredients on the griddle.
- Mix the sauce together before you start cooking on the Blackstone.
- Be sure you cut all pieces of chicken into even chunks so that they finish cooking at the same time.
This incredible chicken stir fry on Blackstone is a show stopper! Make it for dinner and it’ll go on your weekly rotation for sure!
